Challenges and Successe

  • Issue: During functional testing it was found that the space pressure pneumatic tubing wasinstalledin thereturn ductwork through the fire damper and just resting in the return grill. The outside air pressurepneumatic tubing to reference outsideairpressure is just lying in the return plenum. With the currentarrangement the space is unable to build any pressure when the unit is in economizer mode (full outsideair) thus not allowing the exhaust fans to operate correctly

Resolution: the tubing was reinstalled and verified to operate properly.

  • Issue: During functional testing it was found that the BAS is not currently on the LAUSD server. With thisnot being completed functional testingcouldnot be completed until the project is on the server to verifyoccupancy schedule, alarms and the building graphics.

Resolution: the controls contractor updated the database to the District and functional testingproceeded.
