Chumash Casino Expansion

Chumash Casino Expansion, Santa Ynez, CA

Project Description:

Addition of a new 435,000 sq ft. 12 story guest room tower and low-rise casino remodel approximately 150,000 sq ft. The project was designed to LEED standards utilizing fundamental commissioning. The Chumash Casino Resort is an enterprise of the Santa Ynez Band of Mission Indians.

Scope of Work:

TMCx provided LEED Fundamental Commissioning.  System components commissioned include central plant, primary HVAC, terminal units, supply and exhaust, domestic hot water, and lighting controls.

Challenges and Successes

  • Issue: No alarm status at chiller plant.

          Resolution: The proper alarm status indicators were programmed.

  • Issue: HW remote DP sensors.

          Resolution: Remote DP sensors were still not installed at the time Testmarc left the project.
